Privacy

This policy describes the current Openly Useful public websites at OpenlyUseful.org and OpenlyUseful.com. They are static informational sites without user accounts, payment collection, or first-party advertising.

Current operator and publisher status

The founder-operated Openly Useful project is the current operator and data controller for these informational sites and can be contacted at hello@openlyuseful.org. Openly Useful LLC is the planned legal entity, with status formation-pending. This policy does not represent that planned entity as formed or active. The publisher record will be updated after formation and required publisher verification are complete.

Information processed

The sites do not currently ask you to create an account, submit a web form, or make a payment. Hosting and network providers may process ordinary request information needed to deliver and protect the sites, such as IP address, browser and device information, requested URL, timestamp, and security signals. Openly Useful does not currently use first-party analytics, behavioral advertising, or advertising cookies on these sites.

When you contact us

If you email an Openly Useful address, the message and information you include are processed so we can read, respond to, and retain necessary correspondence. Do not send secrets, credentials, regulated data, or other sensitive information unless we have agreed on an appropriate channel.

External services

The sites link to GitHub, product websites, email services, and other external destinations. Those services operate under their own privacy terms. Following a link or sending email may disclose information to the relevant provider.

Retention and choices

Operational logs are retained according to the hosting provider’s settings and security needs. Email correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably needed for the conversation, records, safety, or legal obligations. You may ask a privacy question or request access, correction, or deletion of information you sent by emailing hello@openlyuseful.org with subject PRIVACY. A request may be limited where retention is required for security, recordkeeping, or legal reasons.

Future products and marketplaces

A product, hosted MCP server, marketplace listing, or commercial service that processes additional information will publish the applicable product-specific disclosures before that processing begins. This site policy does not silently activate future data collection.

Changes

Material changes will be published here with a new last-updated date. Questions may be sent to hello@openlyuseful.org with subject PRIVACY.
